ABOUT COMMUNITY SUPPORT INC (CSI)

Established in 1991, CSI is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a variety of quality support services to approximately 1000 South Australians living with a disability, chronic illness, complex health requirements, recovery support needs and issues associated with ageing. The services provided by our Support Workers enable our clients to maintain a level of independence within the community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Support Worker local to Mount Gambier, to provide a variety of support services that will include personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, medication administration, wound dressing and social support. Candidates must be available 10pm - 6am for active overnight services.

CSI provide support across South Australia, so it is very important for you to submit your application in the correct area. If you do not live in the Kingston SE region please have a look at other vacancies listed on our website.

QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES 

Essential:

  • Current entitlements to work in Australia
  • Certificate III or higher in either Disability, Aged Care or Home & Community Care or equivalent
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Medication Administration certificate
  • Current unrestricted driver's license
  • Reliable registered vehicle with full comprehensive or third party property vehicle insurance 
  • Current Department of Community and Social Inclusion (DCSI) clearance, or be willing to obtain one

Desirable:

  • Manual Handling certificate
  • Child Safe Environment training

In addition, we are seeking Support Workers that have:

  • A caring and respectful nature 
  • A Strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy
  • Capacity to identify and manage risks to ensure safety for all
  • A friendly and positive outlook
