SACARE has an exciting immediate opportunity for Casual Support Workers to work in our supported accommodation facilities in the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide. We are looking for candidates who have relevant skills, qualifications and the ability to provide care to our clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a passion for providing a client-centered service, committed to building a career within the disability sector, have exceptional communication skills, be comfortable working flexible hours, particularly overnight shifts.

To be considered for these positions, you MUST have:

  • Certificate lll or higher in Aged Care, Disability Services or Community Services
  • Current DCSI Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Current Apply or Provide First Aid Certificate - issued within the last 3 years
  • Current Manual Handling Certificate including the use of mechanical lifters - issued within the last 12 months.
  • Current Unrestricted Driver’s License

To be successful, you will also be able to demonstrate:

  • An evident passion and commitment to your role as a Support Worker
  • The ability to empower our clients and encourage independence
  • Be reliable and flexible to meets the needs of our clients
  • The ability to engage and build rapport with a diverse range of individuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to provide client-centered service
  • Have prior experience providing community-based care
  • Possess excellent personal hygiene and presentation
  • The ability to adhere to company protocols and WHS standards
