  • Generous salary packaging benefits
  • On-site Car Parking

Located on the edge of Adelaide's CBD adjacent to the beautiful South Eastern Park Lands, St Andrew's is the largest independent private Hospital in Australia, with more than 20,000 procedures being performed each year. Our patients are admitted electively or via our Emergency Service, and we cater for most surgical specialties including (but not limited to) cardiothoracic, neuro, hepatobiliary, major bowel, urology, and major plastics.  Building on our successful base, we have a $50 million upgrade and expansion of our clinical facilities due to be completed soon.

About The Roles:

Due to the expansion of our clinical facilities, we have a number of opportunities available for people with a background in administration and logistics/supply management, in the position of 'Theatre Clerk'.

No two days will be the same in these busy and highly varied roles.  The successful candidates will work within the Theatre Team to:

  • provide general administrative and clerical services, including directing phone calls and foot traffic to the area,
  • coordinating ingoing and outgoing inventory and consumables for Operating Theatres, including arranging deliveries and storage, and
  • assisting the Clinical Manager with the coordination of staff, including administering timesheets and Theatre ledgers.

Hours:

We have a number of opportunities available with various roster patterns.  Ideally candidates will be able to work a minimum of 22.5 hours per week, with the ability to increase their hours up to full time as required to meet busy workloads or cover leave for other team members.

Rosters will be predominantly Monday to Friday including early and late shifts.

Benefits and Culture:

At St Andrew’s we believe that relationships matter, and our people are the key to our success. Our committed leadership team, and open and inclusive culture, is reflected in our significant levels of staff tenure and high job satisfaction.

With a commitment medical and surgical excellence, we encourage our front-line staff to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to decisions, to ensure we are able to provide the best care to our patients.

In addition to our positive culture, staff at St Andrew’s enjoy superior working conditions and benefits, including:

  • generous salary packaging benefits
  • regular staff recognition events
  • leadership development programs
  • extensive in-house training and education programs, and support for further study
  • competitive discounts on private health insurance and pharmaceuticals
  • a strong commitment to flexible working arrangements, including up to 16 weeks paid parental leave, and a range of wellbeing initiatives
  • access to subsidised on-site car parking in the new multi-level car-park.

About You:

Our ideal candidates will thrive in a busy environment and a role that involves a great deal of variety.  As a people person you will enjoy meeting and assisting the many personnel that pass through our Theatre areas on a daily basis, and your "can-do" attitude means that you will demonstrate initiative and the willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

To hit the ground running you will need to demonstrate some experience in a supply / logistics environment, as well as sound administrative and clerical capabilities.  Sound computer literacy is also important for success in these roles.

In addition, candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • The ability to work effectively and contribute positively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and problem solving skills
  • A commitment to the provision of high level customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience within a Hospital / Health Care environment is not essential but would be viewed favourably.
