We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our busy team in dC unit in  Melbourne, on a full-time basis.

 Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Loads and unloads trucks with carts, ovens and standard units
  • Performs driving duties (short distance)
  • Preparation and packing of catering equipment
  • Liaises with airlines staff and hand over delivery
  • Communicates in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintains the company’s policy in relation to HALAL,HACCP, food safety and WHS in accordance with company policy
  • Responsible for marshalling the Driver on the tarmac to position the truck in line with company / airport / airline policies
  • Carries out basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and/or equipment, including refuelling of vehicles
  • Performs administrative documentation and reporting duties as required
  • Follows up on any discrepancies and ensures that flight is correct
  • General cleaning duties
  • Able to work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet operational demands
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:
  • A current MR or HR drivers license preferable
  • Must hold a current Fork Lift license
  • Must have a First Aid Certificate
  • WHS qualifications preferred yet not essential
  • Flexibility in regards to working around flight schedules is essential (7 day per week operation)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced , high-volume environment
  • A satisfactory police record required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks
