About us

The HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) is one of Novita's Community Programs.

HIPPY is a parenting and early childhood enrichment program that encourages school readiness by empowering parents to be their children’s first teacher and fostering parent involvement in school and community life.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic HIPPY Coordinator to work within the local community in Salisbury and play an integral role in the development and implementation of the HIPPY program. Our HIPPY Coordinators have a desire to make a difference and a passion to support children and families. The HIPPY Coordinator will work closely with staff in Novita's other programs to support children and families and foster relationships more broadly with local community service providers.

About you

Along with relevant tertiary qualifications (Education, Community, Early Childhood or similar) you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Clear & effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of how young children grow and develop
  • Experience in working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit effective & appropriate role modelling
  • Experience in the development and implementation of community based programs

What we offer

This position will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. Enjoy salary packaging of up to $15,900 of your salary, plus meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.

Novita is a child safe organisation and requires the successful applicant to complete pre-employment checks including a DCSI Child-Related Employment Screening. All Novita employees are also required to undertake mandatory training relevant to their role.
