In this role you are responsible for delivering safe and effective personal care and clinical care, in accordance with the Customer’s needs, goals and preferences to optimise health and well-being. Our client strives for excellence in providing care in a home-like environment, and aim to support, challenge and enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional and physical well-being of their Customers. 

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Full Time Permanent Aged Care Workers based in sites across Sydney. A competitive annual salary of $54,000 plus superannuation will be offered to the successful applicant.

Are you…?

  • Qualified, have Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate III in Home & Community Services; OR Certificate II in Community Services (or other acceptable qualification as deemed relevant by the employer) (or equivalent); OR Relevant experience/on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of work in this level
  • Familiar with Aged Care. Do you have an awareness of the governing legislation of the industry and the Standards that need to be met?
  • Empathetic
  • Able to speak, understand and write in English very well
  • Tech-savvy. Can confidently use a smartphone and a computer
  • Able to work across various shifts including morning, afternoon, night, weekdays & weekends

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a Dementia Unit.
  • Experience in High Care.
  • Spoken Greek and Greek cultural appreciation

You will be responsible for:

  • Adhering to infection control policies and procedures in accordance with best practice guidelines and legislation.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans and documentation of clinical care under supervision.
  • Carrying out personal care needs which shall include daily hygiene, clothing, meals, simple wound dressing.
  • Participating in proactive communication with Customers and Families.
  • Recognise, report, and respond to changes in Customer’s health, well-being and preferences, within the skills and competence of an Aged Care Worker.

Successful applicant will be required to undertake a criminal history check and pre-employment medical check. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
